Heaven?

I have been following the thread on sled dog's site and he encouraged me to start my own.

So here is my thought.

Can you have bad theology and still get to heaven? Does it matter more what you know or who you know?

Jesus never let me down
You know Jesus used to show me the score
Then they put Jesus in show business
Now it's hard to get in the door.

Boring in?

Why did I call this site "boring in."?

Well a quote I love is from Socrates, "The unexamined life is not worth living."

My philosophy of life is to "Live well, lead well."

In doing this I need to look a little deeper as Solomon states in Ecclesiastes:

"A wise teacher's words spur students to action and emphasize important truths. The collected sayings of the wise are like guidance from a shepherd.

But, my child, be warned: There is no end of opinions ready to be expressed. Studying them can go on forever and become very exhausting!

Here is my final conclusion: Fear God and obey his commands, for this is the duty of every person. God will judge us for everything we do, including every secret thing, whether good or bad."

Eccl 12:11-14 NLT

However, navel gazing can only show you two things: your navel and whatever lint is collected there.

So to live well and lead well we must eat the chicken and spit out the bones. "Boring in" on the truth without getting bored to death.

By the way aren't you glad we don't descend from monkeys? At least we know that smoking is harmful to our health!

Starting up

Well my friend sled dog has been blogging for a while and since he is 10 years my senior I decided it was time to get the juices flowing.
Since I don't have kids I decided that my dog would be good to post. Timber is 3 years old and loves hunting for himself!
